Vink's own active ingredients CIT / MIT, MIT and, more recently, BIT are primarily used for pot and film preservation in the paint and varnish industry , as a protective agent for liquids in cooling and processing systems and as a protective agent for metalworking fluids. They are also used in water treatment and as a slime control agent. Film preservation is covered with OIT, IPBC, Carbendazim and Diuron. Other active ingredients in addition to the isothiazolinones are EDDM o-formal, Bronopol, DGH, DBNPA and sodium pyrithione.
